French Broad Cycling Classic 2012

For the final day of racing, on Sunday, July 22nd, the French Broad Cycling Classic 2012 will stage its criterium. The race venue will be the River Arts District.

Course description: The course will start on Clingman Ave., turn left onto the Haywood Road, Left onto Roberts Street for a fast descent into a sharp corner, back onto Clingman for a punchy climb back to the start finish.
There will be a DJ at the downhill turn. Clingman Cafe will be serving delicious food and Wedge Beer for spectators!
There will be numerous cash primes as well as Lululemon primes!
The criterium course will open for warm-up at 7:00AM.
*** NO RIDERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE BEFORE 7:00AM. ***
Bib number placement: Must be pinned on rider’s LEFT side.

* The top 3 ranked women in the Cat 3, 4 Omnium will be offered free entry to the Women’s Cat 1, 2 Crit.
** Women’s Pro 1, 2 payout will be the greater of $200 OR 50% of the combined Women’s Pro 1, 2 Criterium entry fees. The Women’s Pro 1, 2 race will offer $500 in cash primes.
Registration: Online pre-registration is available via www.pre-reg.com, but will close promptly at 10:00PM Saturday, July 21st. On-site “Day of” registration will open at 7:00AM, Sunday, July 22nd.
Directions: Stay tuned for directions. GPS users can use the address of the Grey Eagle to get to the start/finish of the course: 185 Clingman Ave., Asheville, NC.
Parking: Parking will be available at 30 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC.
Note: You must compete in the Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium to be eligible for the Omnium.
